Would you go to the grocery store to meet your friends and view art? Public art is making a revival and not always in the most obvious places. Whole Foods Market (WFM) realized this and wanted to provide more to their shoppers than a sterile metal building with flourescent lights. They envisioned a place where friends would meet and shopping would be something to look forward to. So WFM teamed with world renowned artist, Michael Singer, to bring art to the WFM in Boca Raton. But in addition to this art, WFM wanted to create energy reducing store designs. WGM, Michael Singer and OEST collaborated on how to take the vision and turn it into a buildable design. |
